4:00 pm Special 50th Anniversary Service & Communion (No Registration required for this event)

Ed Colquhoun


Edward A. Colquhoun, third and fourteenth President of the ABF, will be our Speaker for the 50th Anniversary Service. Ed is a member of FBC Amherst and has served in several other roles for the CABF/ABF, including Editor of the Bulletin.

Our President, Rev. Dr. Marlene Knowles, as well as several Past Presidents will participate. A highlight will be singing the Anniversary Hymn, Christ Calls Us to a Journey, written by the late Rev. Dr. Roger Prentice.

Scott Kindred-BarnesRev. Dr. Scott Kindred-Barnes completed B.A. and M.Div. degrees from Acadia University and Th.M. and PhD. degrees from the University of Toronto. Scott worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at Toronto School of Theology from 2007 to 2011 where he taught in the Historical Department. From 2011-2018 Scott served as the Minister of the Congregation at First Baptist Church Ottawa, before moving to Wolfville where he now serves as the Senior Pastor of Canada’s oldest continuing Baptist Church. Scott is the current Editor of the CABF Bulletin.

Dan Green

Rev. Dr. Dan Green has ministered in the Maritimes since 1980. After a lengthy ministry in the Chester United Baptist Church, Dan moved to Amherst in 2017 to become Senior Minister of First Baptist Church. He has been part of ABF/CABF for 25 years, serving now as a member of Council and Chair of the Finance Committee. Dan is looking forward to retirement at the end of June.

Bert Radford

 

Rev. Bert Radford graduated with a B.A. and a B.D. from McMaster University and a M.Ed. from The University of Toronto. After receiving ordination and serving two churches he became an elementary school teacher and principal. He returned to ministry in Burlington Baptist Church in 2000. Since his retirement Bert has served several United and Presbyterian Churches in interim ministry. He has contributed regularly to the CABF Bulletin. Bert is a Governor of the Canadian Council of Churches.

Rev. Dr. Dave Csinos is Associate Professor of Practical Theology at Atlantic School of Theology and founder of Faith Forward, an ecumenical network for innovation in ministry with children, youth, and families. He is a member of Port Williams United Baptist Church. His most recent book is A Gospel for All Ages: Teaching and Preaching with the Whole Church.

Originally from Charlottetown, Lydia Hood completed an MA at Atlantic School of Theology. She worked in various ministry positions within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth and, most recently, as pastoral associate at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dartmouth. She is currently recruitment coordinator at Atlantic School of Theology.
